TechHR Singapore 2019 conference – Reflections & Resolutions

Last week we participated at People Matters TechHR Singapore 2019 conference. True to its tagline, TechHR remained as Asia’s largest HR technology conference. It stands tall in attracting esteemed speakers, big-brand exhibitors and energetic visitors. Hats off to the organization crew, they ensured that the conference flowed smoothly and efficiently from one session to the next.

The runaway success is the selection of eminent speakers. The value the speakers bring into their presentation is second to none. One and all they stressed the importance of utilizing technology in human resources management. Another exciting phenomenon is the endless stream of truly enthusiastic visitors who are genuinely interested in HR Tech.

Some of the Interesting Takeaways from the Sessions

Coming to the enthralling sessions, Ester Martinez, Editor-in-Chief and CEO of People Matters, during her keynote address emphasized that smart automation technology, Artificial Intelligence (AI) are expected to revolutionize business models.

HR technology delivers enhanced workforce alignment, productivity and efficiency and makes us a future-ready organization. HR professionals are expected to discover new ways of thinking, engage in deep learning to help the organization navigate through this transformation.

Merle Chen, the Chief Talent Office of The Lo & Behold Group rightly pointed out that when people are so important how can we not invest in HR. To prove this as the prevailing trend we also witness a noticeable surge in the interest in employee performance management front.

Insights from the Visitors

We have been attending HR events in the past, but seeing the increased level of enthusiasm among HR professionals in strategic human resources management is very encouraging for us. Their eagerness in understanding the product features and their intensive questions on how they can use and adapt this technology in their workforce to enhance employee engagement and development was really amazing. They have a keenness for technology and ready to take innovative approaches to achieve their talent management objectives.
Almost, 90% of the visitors have some kind of HRIS to manage payroll, attendance and other administrative tasks. Now, they focus on digitizing strategic talent management. Though for some visitors, the HRIS they have has basic performance management, they want an in-depth performance management system with continuous feedback, rewards & recognition, employee engagement and development capabilities.
We realized the demand for niche employee performance management system will be getting bigger and bigger. We have found more reasons to follow our product road map and keep Synergita as the top-notch employee performance management and engagement software.
